The Issuing of Title Deeds and The handing over of Renovated house
Modimolle-Mookgophong Local Municipality kicked off Women’s Month with a BANG. Mayor Sechele Sebolai was accompanied by MEC Mr Basikopo Makamu, Waterberg Executive Mayor Cllr Jack Maeko, and Speaker Sinah Langa lead members on a door-to-door title deed handover to some residents of Mabatlane.
On arrival at the newly renovated house of Mme Ruth Makakaba, whose house unfortunately burnt in September 2017. The family of 5 were living in a shack in Leseding Ex1 Mabatlane, since then. Through the intervention between the local municipality, district municipality, and Limpopo Coghsta, today, the family’s dignity and peace of mind has been restored.
The contractor, Violet Lekgothwane of Lekgothwane Ramasela Trading, donated both labour and materials for the house to be rebuilt while contractor Selaelo Mbadaliga of Selaelo Trading Enterprises donated furniture. This is another indication that shows that working together with the government, we can achieve more.
