If you received an SMS like this yesterday:

"MODIMOLLE-MOOKGOPHONG LOCAL MUNICIPALITY Kindly note that your account no xxxxxxxxxxxx amount R3,4592.49 is due today (07/11/2019) for payment. This message serves as a notice that if the outstanding balance is not received within 7 days, your service will be disconnected without further notice and disconnection fee will be charged on your account."

Please note that this message was sent from the municipality regarding your total outstanding amount owed to the municipality, this can include historical electricity, water or rates.

It was not sent out from EMS Lingani regarding your new electricity bill.

If any of the details on the message is incorrect then you need to please correct it urgently at the municipality or sent an Email to hester@modimolle.gov.za, we will then capture and log it and then give it through to the relevant officials.

It's part of our new credit control policy.
